iii.Cadmium(Valve Regulated Lead Acid VRLA)
Some of the cells can be recharched after it has been used.An external source of current is used to recharge used rechargable cells.Another of direct current is Solar Panel.Most of all the home appliances work on alternating current(AC)since most electrical/electronicshome appliance function with voltage between 220Vac-240Vac.It is clear that battery cannot power.For example,Colour TV will not work because it is supposed to work on 240Vac.
Inverter is used to convert direct current to alternating current i.e 12Vdc to 240Vac.Inverter can ork on one or more batteriesbase on type.

DISADVANTAGES
1.Inverter is costly than fuel generator.
2.External power source for charging battery is required after the battery has been used.
