Creative Foam Medical Systems offers a unique vinyl coating product known as Polyscan™. This distinctive product can coat both open and closed-cell foams, forming a high-strength bond so that the coating becomes an integral part of the foam cushion. Polyscan™ can be produced in any color you desire.
Our manufacturing process ensures that Polyscan™ is applied in an extremely smooth, seamless finish. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it makes our table pads and positioners easy to wipe clean, without textures or seams that may harbor bacteria. Polyscan™ coating creates a fluid-proof barrier that resists betadine, iodine, blood and other contaminants.
Regardless of the shape or configuration of the foam, Polyscan™ totally encapsulates it with tough, durable vinyl, making products reusable and repairable.
When used on diagnostic imaging positioners, Polyscan™ minimizes the appearance of sharp angles and curvatures of the positioner, thus reducing the detection of foreign artifacts.
Coating is done by hand spraying and/or with an automated dipping system that allows us to produce at high volumes and still meet EPA regulations.
Creative Foam Medical Systems manufacturing processes are set up to be flexible and adaptable, to respond to our customers' needs quickly and accurately. As a fabricator, we are able to produce prototypes, samples and short runs without high up-front tooling charges for our customers.
Capabilities include contour cutting for curved or unique-shaped positioners, as well as die cutting. A major investment in a CAD-linked CNC router, run on a programmable logic computer, allows us to manufacture to precise tolerances even for small volumes.

In addition, our certified laboratory services give us a depth of capabilities that outstrip our competition. We can test for durability, longevity, flammability, sterilization and cleaning agent exposure, skin contact, latex content, and material certifications and specifications.
