Solar Panel Blinds
I need some advice on Solar Power?
Im building a deer blind that sits off the ground but i need power in it. Ive looked up some solar powered charging units but need some advice on which way to go. what kind of Solar Panels and batteries do i need? any suggestions?
Im going to be running a small heater, a light, and maybe a small cooler. No I am nut hunting at night I am aware that is poaching. Im nut sure what kind of wattage all of that would entail. probably around 2000 watts. Which I will be using this for a few hours a day then will let charge the rest
First, you need to quantify the amount of power you need. That will, in large part, limit the design considerations. Second, you have to know what duration power will be maintained. If you are considering solar, it’s not much good at night. Third, you need to qualify the structure to hold such equipment. Those panels aren’t light (and batteries are worse), they aren’t small, and they need unobstructed sunlight. Fourth, get off your lazy butt and try tracking. Deer blinds aren’t hunting, they’re ambushing; completely disgraceful.
