Solar Panel Cells

How are Solar Cells and Solar Panels different?
Please help i cant find it anyway on the internet
can you make it as simple as can be
various posters have got it partly right as this question can have two meanings. In photovoltaic cells ( these convert light, usually sunlight into electricity) a cell is one small element, usually a single wafer of silicon. A Solar Panel will be made up of several solar cells. These are used to charge batteries, to run low voltage lighting or to trickle charge batteries for caravans etc, they were originally used to provide a power source for satelites etc.
The other type of solar panel is a photothermal panel. These are used to heat houses, usually to preheat the hot water. They contain a liquid that heats up in the sun, and the liquid is pumped through a heat exchanger that heats up the house’s hot water
