Do you think it would ever be possible to travel to other galaxies and solar systems?
I remember reading that wormholes can be used to travel to other parts of the universe and be able to travel back in time. Any chance that in the future that would be possible?
Given the restrictions imposed by general relativity, the speed of light and the enormous distances between stars – let alone galaxies – the ONLY way we would be able to travel to other solar systems is through some kind of bend or tear in space/time like a worm hole.
At this point worm holes are only theoretical, but they’re possible and who can rule out that we’ll visit other galaxies in the future by flying through worm hole. It’s a lot more likely than traveling back in time. The universe we know doesn’t allow for travel back in time – it only allows for the dilation of time but the consequences and energy required make it unlikely we’ll ever see time travel in any capacity.
